This is a guest post by Caren Lee.

Cancer is said to be a deadly disease and if it has been diagnosed during advanced stages, it does not provide efficient outlook of treatment. Moreover, people have a strong belief that cancer does not have any effective treatment and if they have cancer they'll die soon.
Thus, there is a strong psychological impact associated with being diagnosed with cancer. Consulting a psychiatrist can be useful, but doing yoga can be more effective in maintaining the quality of life of the patient.

Yoga has its origin in India, and it involves various asanas and pranayams that prove to be complementary treatment for cancer. Yoga offers an integrative approach to cancer treatment and helps improve physical health as well as mental health. Cancer patients taking yoga classes see improvement in body's physical functioning, better immune system, and also experience a healthier body.

  3. I really love yoga. Perhaps, it prevents cancer because it helps you relax both your body and mind. After each session you will feel revitalize again. As I've known, one of the causes of cancer is stress.
